The only thing I could find to watch is a TED video for a brief moment. So I won’t give it a second thought in this post.
If you’re an avid YouTube viewer, you will probably get a notification for new content, but I’m afraid I can’t tell you how to add a new video to YouTube. I do, however, just want to reiterate that if you don’t have a youtube account, then you can’t watch this article.
You can watch videos through a search engine, but this is usually not a good idea. It would be far better if you could add videos to your youtube feed. It would be an easy way to add videos to your youtube feed, but I think you will find it frustrating to use the search engine as there is no way to know if a video you already have a link to is really new and worth a link.
I have found that the youtube read more button is actually a very useful way to add videos into your youtube feed. So if you are looking for new material, then definitely add a read more button to your youtube search.
I really don’t see the point of using search engines in a way that is easy to remember. All I can do is find how many hits have been made by video and see how many links are being added to my search. It does seem to be a pretty good way to get new material to your search.
You know what I think? I think it’s just a shame that youtube doesn’t have something like a read more button. Maybe it’s a matter of taste, but I think I would prefer something like the google search bar.
To be fair, youtube could do a lot better by offering more visual cues as to where new videos come from. For example, the new video I watched today was posted in the last 24 hours and is not just a random video that was uploaded by someone who had the same name and didn’t follow any sort of video rules. That’s a bit of a shame though, because it could be something like a video from a friend that you could click on and start watching.
I guess what I’m saying is that I think Google+ is still the best place to go to find new videos. Because it makes it easy to search across all the YouTube channels that are related to a given topic (like “How to get more subscribers on youtube” or “How to get more followers on youtube”).
